Anne Frank: AHL

                                                Before Going into Hiding

                                                "A Heavenly Existed"

What is the audience the author is targeting......

Mirjam Pressler is targeting young people wanting to learn more about Anne Frank and the Holocaust. I know this because Pressler's writing and wording is nor simple, basic or ultra-complex,wordy. The use of unfamliar (to me) words such as moffen are further evidence towards her target odience.

Put yourself in the same situation as a character in your book. How would have you reacted..............

If I had been in Anne Frank's postion when she came to the realzation she had to live her home to go into hiding, I would've reacted a mostly the same. At first I would have been in a state of shock and utter disbelief. After recovering and coming to my senses I would have began remincing like Anne but wouldn't cried in absoulute misery.

Anne Frank: AHL continued

                                                              The Diaries

"After the war I'd like to publish a book"

Is the information in your text valid? Explain how you could check its validity.

The information presented in Anne Frank:AHL has been valid up to the point in which i have read. A way I could and have checked its validity is checking reviews by readers and book critics using the internet.

What did you know from prior knowledge or personal experience about the topic of your text?

I knew from prior knowledge that Anne Frank was a teenage girl that wrote about her experiences during the Holocaust. I also knew that her father, Otto was the only of her family and original companions to survive the Holocaust. From previous knowledge I knew that Otto helped achieve Anne's goal of publishing a book by publishing her diary.

Intro to Anne Frank: A Hidden Life by Mirjam Pressler

                                                               The Liberation

"One day we shall be human beings again and not just Jews"

                                    Describe the author's style?

Mirjam Pressler uses two men who endured and survived the Holocaust to show what the liberation of the concentration camps were like. The first man Otto Wolken, a Jewish doctor whose experiences are used by Pressler to describe the final days of the Auschwitz concentration camp. Pressler then transitions to Anne Frank's father Otto to describe the gloomy but at times hopeless times after the liberation. Pressler also added a small number after a word or phrase in which at the bottom she adds extra information on the subject.
